1. Guatemala is home to more than 370,000 orphans.
2. Children and adolescents compose more than half of Guatemala’s population and the majority live in poverty.
3. It is estimated that 70 percent of Guatemalan families live below the poverty level.
4. Nearly 23% of children over three months and under five months of age suffer from general malnutrition.
Dear Friends and Family,
It has recently been on my heart and mind to team up with Food for the Hungry and my church, Oasis Christians Center, and help those in need in Guatemala. Oasis Christian Center will partner up with Food for the Hungry this coming May to bring aid to the many in need in Guatemala. This amazing opportunity will allow me to join a short term team that will work alongside long-term missionaries on a 10 to 14 day mission trip to an impoverished community.
The total cost of the trip is $1,700 and I need your help... I am asking for donations of any dollar amount to assist with the expense of the trip. By making a donation you will be helping me feed the hungry, build housing for those in need, and care for the children of Guatemala. Believe me when I say your money will go towards bettering the lives of others.
